This design was inspired by what the Bible says about the rainbow and baptism: Genesis 9:12-17, Mark 16:16, 1 Peter 3:20-21
The rainbow is the sign of God’s promise to never again destroy the earth with a flood. The rainbow foreshadows the sign of the greater promise God has given us to look to, high upon the cross. There, sin and death itself are destroyed in the flesh of God’s Son, Jesus. He who believes and is baptized into this promise will be saved.
