Div. I, First place Mixed Media
It started with an old photo of a woman dressed in western gear that reminded me of my one sister. That was the starting point and I built on it from there having lived for many years in Arizona. I wanted to bring in many elements that brought back memories of living in the desert. In addition to fabric and thread, there are photos, printmaking, fabric markers, a pin that looks like a striped horse, and a plastic mule.
