Journey
Div. I, Second Place, Oil/Acrylic
This oil painting titled “Journey” began from a live session at a painting group that I attend. The model was wearing clothing of red and white hues that complemented the warmness of her rich skin tones. I was focusing mainly on her unique facial features, that reflect her youth, innocence, and pensiveness. The total portrayal is intended to capture a young woman absorbed in thoughts. She is remembering the past, reflecting on the present, and hopeful for the future. We are all on a journey called life and I want this painting to relate to all of us.
