Trick or Treat
This painting of glowing jack-o’-lanterns on a warm sepia background was inspired by one of my favorite childhood family traditions—celebrating Halloween with joy, creativity, and community. For us, this season isn’t about fear or darkness, but about celebrating light, laughter, and the people we love.
I’ve always been drawn to the way light shines through the carved faces of jack-o’-lanterns—how something so simple can cast such a warm, inviting glow. It reminds me of what it looks like to shine from within. Even in a world that can feel dark or heavy at times, we’re invited to carry light, to be light, and to share it with others in joyful, life-giving ways.
This piece is a celebration of that truth: that fun can be pure, light can be contagious, and sometimes the glow that spills out of something small can be the most beautiful of all.
