I love to walk or run in the early morning hours. As I walked along the Waterway at approximately 5 am, the light and lines of this scene caught my eye and I felt compelled to photograph it. This jump started my photography at a time when my creative spirit was hurting; my home and studio had been severely damaged by Hurricane Beryl. We were forced to move out of our home to an apartment, and I lost the use of my studio in which I once did encaustic painting and jewelry making.
