My intention was to create a vertical sense of diminishing space in a somewhat primitive fashion by creating a strata moving upward. The addition of recognizable images were meant to tease the viewer into creating his or her own narrative.

Materials
I built a collagraph plate on mat board using various found materials to create textures. I printed it once with soy based ink then added color with acrylic paint. Next I created masks out of yupo and paper. I inked the masks and placed them on the colored print before running them through the press a second time in order to impose their image. I was interested in pushing the process.
